Lisa, as she is usually called, is a product of Richmond City Public Schools and retired from that same school system after serving for over thirty years. She completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia State University, graduated from the Healing Care Ministries Advanced Spiritual Direction program, earned a Master of Divinity degree with honors, at the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union, and has an earned Doctor of Ministry degree in Formational Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio.
Lisa is the Co-Pastoral Director at Richmond Hill, an urban ecumenical Christian retreat facility in Richmond, VA and founder of Alesia Johnson Ministries. She is a member of First Shiloh Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, VA, where she serves on the healing care team for the Healing Place ~ Center for Christian Counseling and Spiritual Formation. She is a sought-after preacher, speaker, and facilitator for workshops and conferences. She was licensed and ordained to preach the gospel at The St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Richmond, VA and serves as the Chaplain in the Henrico County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Hope for Families. It is her desire to be used of God to serve as a wounded healer, bringing others to a place of holistic healing.
