Lee-Berkeley Shaw has 25 years of strategic partnership development and fundraising experience, with a speciality in corporate and foundation relations, special events, and coalition building. She strives to build a culture of philanthropy, collaboration, and success to empower nonprofits organizations to fulfill their missions with the resources and partners they need to excel.
Shaw is mostly recently coming from the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Administration LLC, where she directed the relaunch of the dormant IETF Endowment and established their inaugural fundraising program.
Prior to joining IETF, Shaw was the Director of Development & External Affairs at the Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT), overseeing all fundraising efforts, partnership development, and donor communication efforts for the organization. Shaw also directed the CDT annual networking and fundraising event, Tech Prom, and was the staff lead to CDT’s Advisory Council.
Before going to CDT, Shaw was the Director of Corporate Relations at the Newseum in Washington, DC, directed high-net-worth events for the greater DC and Baltimore markets of the American Cancer Society and at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars, and spent 13 years at Rebuilding Together, serving as Director of the Safe and Healthy Homes Initiative at the national office and Director of Development at the Montgomery County, MD location.
Shaw holds a Bachelors of Arts in Government from the College of William and Mary and is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). She resides in Washington DC and spends her free time exploring the nation’s capital, traveling, and planning her next U2 concert or SCUBA diving trip.
